DUNCAN Bannatyne has returned home to Portugal with wife Nigora Whitehorn after they were stranded in London due to the lockdown.
But who is the former Dragons’ Den star’s other half, and what happened with is his ex Joanne McCue?
Who is Nigora Whitehorn?
The entrepreneur, 71, is married to Nigora Whitehorn – who at 40 is 31 years his junior.
He proposed in 2016 with a £40k ring in Monte Carlo, and they tied the knot in a ceremony in Portugal in 2017, followed by a honeymoon to Croatia.
The pair have been an item since 2015, after Duncan popped into the dental surgery on London’s Harley Street where she was working in 2014.
In an interview with OK! magazine, the TV star revealed that he fell “madly in world with her” after their first impromptu meeting.
Duncan added: “When I went home I couldn’t stop thinking about her, I felt obsessed! I felt in love with her.”
According to her LinkedIn page, Nigora has degrees from the University of Bedfordshire and the National University of Uzbekistan.
She has worked for the London police and also as a Russian and Uzbek translator for the UK government.
The couple have openly admitted that they would like to start a family.
Speaking to OK! in January 2020, the dad-of-six explained: “I don’t think it’s going to happen. We tried, but I don’t think we are going to have children.
“We’re not trying to prevent it happening, so if it did, great, but I don’t think it is going to.”
Nigora added: “If it’s going to happen, it’s going to happen, but we are not doing anything about it, like IVF, and we are not going to stress about it.”
In the same interview she also discussed their age gap, noting: “Age doesn’t really matter to me. He has more energy than I have.
“I can’t keep up with him. And I think people have accepted the age difference and can see that we genuinely love each other. In the beginning we got a few trolls but now they leave us alone.”
They currently live in a £3m villa in Portugal – and returned there at the end of last month by private jet amid the coronavirus pandemic..
On Twitter, Duncan – who has furloughed 2,500 staff – recently wrote: “I have repatriated myself and my family back to my home in Portugal after being locked down in London due to bad timing.
“Luckily I had friends that gave me a place to stay in London but it is good to be home.”
Who is Duncan’s ex-wife Joanne McCue?
Duncan split from his second wife Joanne McCue in 2011 – with their acrimonious divorce finalised in 2013.
According to the Daily Mail, she had wanted the equivalent to £1,000-a-day in addition to financial help with their two children, Tom and Emily, and a holiday home in France – and the TV star has revealed they agreed a £345m settlement.

They met in 1992 when she was a nursing manager at his business Quality Care Home and she previously helped him run the national chain of Bannatyne’s Health Clubs.
Duncan divorced his first wife of ten years, Gail Brodie, in 1994.
They had four daughters – Abigail, Hollie, Jennifer and Eve.
